FACM Classes 1 & 3

Carol Walker is employed by the Polk County Property Appraiser as the Director of Client Services. She has been with the Property Appraiser’s Office for 35 years. Prior to being the Director of Client Services she was in the GIS Mapping Department for 13 years, 5 of those years as a GIS project Coordinator. Before that she worked as a Deed Analyst.

Carol has a ESRI Desktop Associate Certification and was previously a ESRI Certified Trainer.

She has a CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) certification.

Carol also holds both the Certified Cadastralist of Florida (CCF) and Certified Florida Evaluator (CFE) Designations, is a Past President for the Florida Association of Cadastral Mappers, has held the office of FACM Secretary of twice, and Education Chair for FACM, as well as a FACM Course Instructor.

Carol has received the 2011 FACM Outstanding Achievement Award and the 2005 FACM Cadastralist of the Year.

FACM Classes 2 & 4

Mike Garcia, PSM is a licensed Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper. A native of Florida with over forty years of experience, his diverse background includes Boundary and Topographic Surveys, Right of Way Mapping, Control Networks, GIS data applications and Asset Management. Mr. Garcia has been employed by Seminole County Government for twenty nine years and is currently a Program Manager with the County's Engineering Division. He is an active member of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society and a Past President of the Central Florida Chapter

FACM Classes 2 & 3

Brandon was born and raised outside of Chicago and graduated from Augustana College in 2003 and then went to Loyola University (Quinlan School of Business) and earned an MBA in 2008. He began working with Bruce Harris in 2008 and is a Certified Instructor for Illinois DOR and Continuing Education through the IPAI (Illinois Property Assessment Institute). When not working, his two young daughters, Lyla and Autumn, keep him busy at home.
